PHFR linking up with Like Mother, Like Daughter

Pretty:

Isn't snowfall so pretty even when we want spring so badly?

Especially when there is a cute baby involved.

Happy:

My son on his swing.  Seriously, it doesn't get any happier than this.

Funny:

This was what we found my son doing just after we heard him rustling through the pantry.
Spill the sprinkles then eat the sprinkles off the floor.
Quick get as many in your mouth as you can before mom sweeps them up.  Good thing our floors were fairly clean that day!

Even the cats wanted to be involved.  Such curious kittens.

 Real:

Both of my little one's in the snow eating the snowflakes.

E's ice fishing story.  "Seriously guys it was THIS BIG."

Crayon meltings

This was a fun project for my son and a very very stressful project for the girl I babysit.  I guess like most craft projects it just depends on the kid whether they like this or not.  I shaved up some little pieces of crayons we had on a plate.  Then cut up a pizza box from the recycling bin into squares.  Covered that with tin foil.
Then I let 'em go to town.

This was one of his pieces just before it went into the oven.

175* for 5-10 minutes (keep an eye on it) Done.  Take it out and let it cool about two minutes.  Then hang up.

We ended up hole punching ours and hanging them from a string in the basement.  This however is a prelim. pic. of it on the floor!

Baking Soda Color Tray Type Two, Pinterest Day 25

This time instead of giving him four different cups of colored vinegar I gave him one cup of vinegar and baking soda with color underneath.  The food coloring did bleed through a little but no worries.  Also, I had him use scoopers this time.  1/4 tsp and 1/2 teaspoon.  It was way better for him than the dropper.

Just getting started.

Starting to see some color now.

More colors are starting to appear.

Then he got to swirling the spoons in the baking soda and when he dipped them back in the vinegar they fizzed like crazy.

Two handed action.

Filled with color.

Alright mom, I'm done.
DUMP.

Wacky weather this week.

This was what our day looked like on Wednesday.
We found a bug and touched it and held it.  We raked leaves and dug up the garden.

This is what it looked like on Thursday of this week.
Snow, snow and more snow.  Three inches in a matter of hours.  But by 3pm totally melted. Gone, no trace. Back to preparing the garden.  Weird.

Our view from the inside of the house!

Emma thought she wanted to be out where her brother was then...

She was not so happy to be out when she realized it included hats, gloves, snowpants, shoes and cold wet snow.

Day 25

Day two of our tie dye coffee filter hearts.
These were taken after they were assembled in there cardstock heart frames and just before they went in their envelopes to grandparents and great grandma.

PLEASE EXCUSE THE UGLY BASEMENT CARPET AND TERRIBLE TABLET PICTURES.

A few days off

Whew. What a week.  Took a few days off from blogging this week because we were crazy busy around here.  But I'm back and with a few projects even to speak of.

I can't even remember what pinterest day I am on twenty something.  24 I think.

So day twenty four of my 365 day Pinterest challenge went like this.

When they dried I glued them onto a heart-frame made out of black cardstock.  Then we mailed them to his grandparents and great grandparent for Valentine's day.

He loved this project and we will definitely be doing it again.  He loves the squirt bottle and could have squirted a hundred coffee filters.
