A few days off

Whew. What a week.  Took a few days off from blogging this week because we were crazy busy around here.  But I'm back and with a few projects even to speak of.

I can't even remember what pinterest day I am on twenty something.  24 I think.

So day twenty four of my 365 day Pinterest challenge went like this.

When they dried I glued them onto a heart-frame made out of black cardstock.  Then we mailed them to his grandparents and great grandparent for Valentine's day.

He loved this project and we will definitely be doing it again.  He loves the squirt bottle and could have squirted a hundred coffee filters.

  1. What a great project! Mom has hers hanging in her kitchen window. I wondered what paper you used; coffee filters is brilliant. Might have to try this with W., and maybe put them in shamrock shaped frames for the next holiday. Oooh, or Easter egg shapes..... Matty would love that, right?

  2. If I were doing this inside with a group of children, couldn't I just lay the coffee filters on old white paper and let them draw on them, then pick them up and lay a towel on the table then lay their filters back down on the towel to squirt the water on them? I might be able to find a place to hang them to dry or they may have to just dry on the towel.

  3. Janie, you can easily dry them on a towel. I sometimes clothespin mine to a drying rack that way we can hang a bunch with out taking up a bunch of space. Our you can lay them out to dry, they just take longer. You can twisty tie them around a Popsicle stick to make butterflies, or cut them into triangles and sew them together to make a banner. Super versatile and kid friendly craft.
